The Colorful Craft Studio

Paints, Papers, and Pastels…Oh, my!

This client loved to work with many different types of art mediums, and those supplies were everywhere! After working on the project for a day, we came to the conclusion that the main issue was there wasn’t a true home for her paint supplies, scrapbooking supplies, jewelry making supplies and…well, you get the idea. Knowing that it takes making another mess in order to get organized, we jumped right in together to start the process of sorting like-items and discarding or donating things she no longer needed. My client already had plenty of organizational bins on hand to fit our needs, so we didn’t need to buy anything extra. Working the puzzle of separating each type of medium was the next step. The bookcases and drawer units transformed into functional spaces to house the different categories, while the crates in the working area were rotated and restacked to offer a whimsical focal point to showcase books, finished products, and items of meaning to her.
